ERIKA SCHEIDEL RAMOS is an accomplished pianist and teacher. Her focus areas include Classical Piano, Contemporary Piano Styles, Collaborative Piano, Improvisation and Pedagogy. She holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance at the University of Redlands, where she also received her Bachelor of Music in piano performance and graduated magna cum laude. She had additional training in Salzburg, Austria and at the Aspen Summer Music Festival, where she studied with the distinguished Gabriel Chodos. As a student, Erika received several honors including a National Merit Finalist scholarship, the Bo Ying Wat scholarship, and a graduate teaching assistantship in music theory. As a performer, she was twice featured on the prestigious U of R President’s Honor Recital. A former accompanist/coach at the University of Redlands, she continues to perform actively as a soloist and ensemble artist.
Erika Ramos currently serves on the faculty of the University of Redlands Summer Piano Camp. She is actively involved in the Redlands Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California and is currently Certificate of Merit Chairman. She was also formerly the State MTAC Chair of Scrapbooks and Awards. Mrs. Ramos is a member of the Riverside-San Bernardino Counties Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, the professional music fraternity for women; Treasurer of the Riverside-San Bernardino Counties Chapter of CAPMT (MTNA); and a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the music honor society
